land of the lost beloved
This work portrays a landscape shaped by personal trinkets, collections, hobbies, and passions, deeply rooted in family
tradition. From my paternal grandfather's seashells and my maternal grandfather's handmade wooden handles to my
father's fascination with rocks and minerals, and my own lapidary collection, each item reflects the legacy of collecting
passed down through generations. land of the lost beloved explores the inheritance of collections, both physical and
emotional, highlighting the enduring connection between cherished objects and the memories they evoke. These
artefacts serve not only as tokens of affection but also as vessels for storytelling, each holding its own piece of family
medium: childhood trinkets (marbles, bark, clear plastic stones), handmade wooden knobs, fresh water pearls,
seashells, oyster shells, amethyst chips, various minerals (green zeolite, lava stone, black sand, polished
white peddles, raw white pebbles, yellow maifan stone), silicone, wood, steel wire, resin
